Description

This colorful and delicious Seven-Layer Taco Dip is a party favorite packed with layers of creamy, cheesy, and zesty goodness. Served cold with tortilla chips, it’s a guaranteed hit at game nights, potlucks, or any get-together.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans

  • 1 (1 oz) package taco seasoning mix

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup guacamole

  • 1 cup salsa or pico de gallo (drained if watery)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the refried beans with taco seasoning until fully combined. Spread the mixture in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish or a large serving platter.

  2. In another bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Carefully spread over the bean layer.

  3. Spread guacamole evenly over the sour cream layer.

  4. Spoon the salsa or pico de gallo over the guacamole layer.

  5. Add a layer of shredded lettuce.

  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the lettuce.

  7. Finish with black olives and chopped green onions on top.

  8. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For best results, drain salsa before adding to prevent the dip from getting watery.

  • You can make this dip up to a day in advance—just wait to add the lettuce and cheese until closer to serving.

  • Add diced jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
