Description

Sausage and Cabbage Stir Fry is a quick and hearty meal made with savory sausage, tender cabbage, and simple seasonings. It’s a flavorful, low-carb option perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 oz smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small head green cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add cabbage, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for 8-10 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
  5. Return the sausage to the skillet and mix until heated through, about 2 more minutes.
  6. Top with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
