- 12 oz smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head green cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add cabbage, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for 8-10 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and mix until heated through, about 2 more minutes.
- Top with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
