Description

Jelly nougat candy is a soft and chewy treat that combines sweet nougat with colorful, fruity jelly candies. It’s a nostalgic dessert perfect for holidays, gifts, or a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups (450 g) mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups (450 g) white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (300 g) gummy candies (like gumdrops or gummy bears), chopped into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan:
    • Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Grease lightly with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Melt the marshmallow mixture:
    • In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the white chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, stirring constantly until the mixture is completely smooth and melted. Be careful not to overheat.
  3. Add the gummy candies:
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly for 1–2 minutes. Stir in the chopped gummy candies until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour into the pan:
    • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Use a spatula or your hands (lightly greased) to press the nougat evenly into the pan.
  5. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the nougat for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
  6. Cut and serve:
    • Once set, lift the nougat out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into small squares or rectangles. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, use flavored white chocolate chips or mix in a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Swap gummy candies with chopped dried fruits for a more natural twist.
  • Store the nougat in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
