Hawaiian Banana Bread

2-3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional)

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and chopped macadamia nuts (if using).

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, vanilla extract, and sugar. Add this mixture to the banana mixture and stir to combine.

Add the eggs to the banana mixture and mix well.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the bread tough.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the Hawaiian Banana Bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

The addition of pineapple and coconut in this recipe gives the banana bread a tropical and sweet flavor. Macadamia nuts, commonly found in Hawaiian cuisine, can add a delightful crunch and a touch of Hawaiian flair to the bread. Enjoy this Hawaiian-inspired banana bread as a delicious treat for breakfast or as a snack.
