Description

This creamy, festive Grinch Hot Chocolate is inspired by everyone’s favorite green holiday character! With its bright green color and sweet marshmallow topping, this hot chocolate is a cozy, whimsical treat for holiday gatherings or family movie nights.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3–4 drops green food coloring
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Mini marshmallows or heart-shaped marshmallows
  • Red heart sprinkles (optional, for a Grinch-inspired touch)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.
  2. Add White Chocolate: Stir in the white chocolate chips and continue stirring until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add Flavor & Color: Remove the pan from heat. Add the vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring, stirring until the color is evenly mixed and reaches your desired shade of green.
  4. Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, and a red heart sprinkle for a festive Grinch look!

Notes

  • Adjust the food coloring for a lighter or more vibrant green.
  • Try using almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
  • For a minty twist, add a drop of peppermint extract.
