Description

Greek Chicken Burgers are a flavorful and healthy twist on traditional burgers, featuring ground chicken mixed with Mediterranean herbs and spices, served with tzatziki sauce on a bun or in lettuce wraps.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 hamburger buns or lettuce wraps
  • Tzatziki sauce, for serving
  • Sliced tomato, cucumber, and red onion (optional toppings)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, red onion, garlic, feta cheese, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Toast buns if desired, then assemble burgers with tzatziki sauce and optional toppings.
  6. Serve immediately with a side salad or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey as a substitute if desired.
  • These burgers can also be grilled outdoors.
  • For a low-carb option, serve in lettuce wraps instead of buns.
