Description

The classic Gimlet Cocktail is a refreshing, crisp drink made with gin, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup — shaken and served up for a perfectly balanced cocktail.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or wedge, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add gin, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the simple syrup to taste for a sweeter or more tart cocktail.
  • For a more classic version, substitute with Rose’s Lime Juice instead of fresh lime and simple syrup.
  • Try it with vodka for a Vodka Gimlet variation.
