- 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee beans (about 30 grams)
- 4 cups hot water (just off the boil, about 200°F/93°C)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil, then let it sit for 30 seconds to reach about 200°F (93°C).
- Add coarsely ground coffee to your clean French press.
- Pour hot water evenly over the coffee grounds.
- Stir gently with a wooden spoon or chopstick to make sure all the grounds are saturated.
- Place the lid on the French press with the plunger pulled up. Let steep for 4 minutes.
- Slowly press the plunger down to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- Use freshly ground coffee for the best flavor.
- Adjust the coffee-to-water ratio to suit your taste.
- Pour out all the coffee immediately to prevent over-extraction.
