Description

These pancakes are light, airy, and perfectly golden brown. They’re easy to make with simple ingredients and come out delicious every time. Perfect for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Add Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix—lumps are okay!
  • Preheat & Cook: Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray. Pour ¼ cup of batter per pancake onto the pan.
  • Flip & Finish: Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set (about 2 minutes). Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

  • Serve: Enjoy warm with butter, syrup, or your favorite toppings!

Notes

  • Make Them Extra Fluffy: Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes before cooking.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Substitute milk with almond, oat, or soy milk, and use oil instead of butter.

  • Toppings: Try fresh fruit, whipped cream, or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor.
