Description

These Easy Grilled Avocados are smoky, creamy, and ready in minutes. Perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or even a healthy base for stuffing, grilled avocados add a delicious charred flavor that takes your summer meals to the next level.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm avocados, halved and pitted

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Juice of 1/2 lime

  • Optional toppings: pico de gallo, feta cheese, sour cream, grilled shrimp, black beans

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill:
Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.

  2. Prep the avocados:
Brush the cut sides of each avocado half with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Grill:
Place avocados cut-side down directly on the grill. Grill for 3–5 minutes, or until char marks appear and the flesh is lightly softened.

  4. Serve:
Remove from grill and squeeze fresh lime juice over each half. Fill the center with your favorite toppings or enjoy as is!

Notes

  • Perfect as a base for stuffed avocado dishes (try taco meat, quinoa salad, or shrimp).

  • Grilling enhances the natural richness of the avocado while adding a hint of smoke.

  • Great addition to BBQ platters or vegetarian spreads.
