- 2 cups crushed digestive biscuits
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed digestive biscuits, cocoa powder, desiccated coconut, and chopped nuts if using.
- Add in the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into a parchment-lined square or rectangular pan.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler, then pour and spread evenly over the pressed mixture.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Once set, cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- You can use graham crackers instead of digestive biscuits if preferred.
- Add dried fruits like raisins or chopped dates for extra flavor.
