Description

Dragon Sauce is a bold, savory, and slightly spicy Asian-inspired sauce perfect for stir-fries, dipping, or drizzling over vegetables and grains.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or other hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, sriracha, and water.
  2. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry and stir into the sauce.
  4. Simmer for 2-3 more minutes, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha amount to control spice level.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Great as a dipping sauce for spring rolls or a glaze for tofu.
