- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, and water. Mix until well blended.
- Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Drizzle with 1/2 cup caramel sauce, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- For ganache, heat heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over 1 cup chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
- Pour ganache over the cooled cake, then drizzle with additional caramel sauce and sprinkle with extra pecans if desired.
