Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are loaded with flavor—juicy grilled chicken coated in a creamy, spicy-sweet bang bang sauce made with mayo, chili sauce, and a touch of honey. Perfect for grilling season or as a fun appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and lime juice to make the bang bang sauce. Reserve half for serving.
  3. In a separate bowl, toss chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, pepper, and half of the bang bang sauce.
  4. Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
  5. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Remove from grill and brush with reserved bang bang sauce.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Can be cooked under the broiler if a grill is not available.
  • Bang bang sauce also works great as a dip or sandwich spread.
  • Serve with rice or a fresh salad to make it a full meal.
