Description

White Pizza is a delicious twist on classic pizza made without tomato sauce — instead, it’s topped with a garlicky olive oil base, creamy cheeses, and fresh herbs for a rich, savory flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or chopped fresh basil
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Cornmeal or flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it as well.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
  3. Brush dough with olive oil and evenly sprinkle minced garlic over the top.
  4. Dollop ricotta cheese evenly across the crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven and garnish with extra fresh herbs, if desired. Slice and serve hot!
