- 3 cups rice or corn cereal squares (like Rice Chex or Crispix)
- 2 cups pretzel twists or sticks
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups salted peanuts (or mixed nuts)
- 1 cup candy-coated chocolates (like M&M’s)
- 1 bag (12 oz) white chocolate chips or white candy melts
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Instructions
1. Combine the Dry Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels, marshmallows, peanuts, and candy-coated chocolates. Toss gently to mix evenly.
2. Melt the White Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the vegetable oil (if using) in 20–30 second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.
- Be careful not to overheat the chocolate to prevent it from seizing.
3. Coat the Snack Mix
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix.
- Gently stir with a spatula until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
4. Spread and Cool
- Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
- Spread the coated snack mix in an even layer on the sheet and let it cool and set at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
5. Break and Serve
- Once the white chocolate has hardened, break the mix into clusters or pieces.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
