Description

Warm Cinnamon Crescent Twists are a delightful pastry treat made by twisting crescent dough with a buttery cinnamon-sugar filling, then baking until golden and finishing with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 4 rectangles by pressing the perforations to seal.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Brush each rectangle with melted butter and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise and press gently to seal.
  6. Cut each folded rectangle into 3 strips. Twist each strip and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl to make the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the warm twists before serving.

Notes

  • Best served warm right out of the oven.
  • Add chopped pecans or mini chocolate chips for variety.
  • Can be reheated in a toaster oven for a crispy texture.
