Description

Walking Strawberry Pretzel Salad is a fun, portable twist on the classic layered dessert. Served in individual snack bags, it combines salty crushed pretzels, sweet strawberry gelatin, fresh berries, and a creamy cheesecake filling for a perfect on-the-go treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 individual bags of pretzel sticks or twists (1 oz each)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (3 oz) box strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water and chopped strawberries. Chill for 30 minutes until partially set.
  3. Gently crush the pretzels in the individual bags to desired texture.
  4. Open each bag and spoon in a layer of the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Top with a few spoonfuls of the strawberry gelatin mixture.
  6. Serve immediately with a spoon, or chill for a firmer dessert before serving.

Notes

  • Best served immediately to keep pretzels from getting soggy.
  • Use plastic cups instead of bags for a fancier presentation.
  • Swap strawberries for raspberries or peaches for variety.
