Description

Classic vanilla cupcakes that are light, fluffy, and full of rich vanilla flavor, perfect for any celebration or sweet craving.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until just combined.
  6. Divide batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting if desired.
