Description

This Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea is a cozy and aromatic drink perfect for relaxing afternoons or chilly evenings. Made with black tea, warm spices, and a hint of vanilla, it’s smooth, creamy, and irresistibly comforting.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf black tea)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (or 1 cinnamon stick)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy, like almond or oat milk)
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

1. Brew the Tea:

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the tea bags (or loose leaf tea in a tea strainer) and ground cinnamon (or cinnamon stick). Reduce the heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.

2. Add the Milk and Sweetener:

  1. Stir in the milk and sugar or honey. Simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring it doesn’t boil over.
  2. Remove the tea bags or tea strainer and the cinnamon stick (if used).

3. Add Vanilla and Strain:

  1. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. If using loose tea or a cinnamon stick, strain the tea into cups.

4. Serve:

  1. Pour the tea into mugs and sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for garnish.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Iced Version: Cool the tea mixture and serve it over ice for a refreshing iced vanilla cinnamon milk tea.
  • Spice Variations: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Sweetener Options: Use maple syrup, agave, or a sugar substitute to suit your preference.
