- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10 Oreos)
- 3/4 cup Valentine M&M’s (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
2. Make the Cookie Dough:
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
3. Add the Mix-Ins:
- Fold in the crushed Oreos, Valentine M&M’s, and white chocolate chips (if using).
4. Scoop and Bake:
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Press a few extra M&M’s onto the tops of each cookie for decoration.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly soft.
5. Cool and Serve:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Storage: Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- Make Ahead: You can freeze the cookie dough balls for up to 3 months and bake straight from frozen—just add 2-3 extra minutes to the bake time.
- Variations: Use dark or milk chocolate M&M’s for a different flavor profile or substitute the Oreos with chocolate sandwich cookies of your choice.
