Description

These Valentine’s Day Oreo M&M’s Cookies are a festive and indulgent treat perfect for celebrating love! Packed with crushed Oreos, Valentine-themed M&M’s, and a soft, chewy cookie base, they’re as delicious as they are colorful.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10 Oreos)
  • 3/4 cup Valentine M&M’s (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat and Prepare:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

2. Make the Cookie Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

3. Add the Mix-Ins:

  1. Fold in the crushed Oreos, Valentine M&M’s, and white chocolate chips (if using).

4. Scoop and Bake:

  1. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Press a few extra M&M’s onto the tops of each cookie for decoration.
  3. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly soft.

5. Cool and Serve:

  1. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Make Ahead: You can freeze the cookie dough balls for up to 3 months and bake straight from frozen—just add 2-3 extra minutes to the bake time.
  • Variations: Use dark or milk chocolate M&M’s for a different flavor profile or substitute the Oreos with chocolate sandwich cookies of your choice.
