For the Tuna Salad:
- 1 can (5 oz/140 g) tuna, drained
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion or green onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped celery (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Wrap:
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh spinach or arugula leaves (optional)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter (for grilling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Tuna Salad:
- In a bowl, mix the tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red onion, and celery (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the Wraps:
- Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Spread half of the tuna salad onto the center of each tortilla.
- Top with shredded cheese, a few slices of tomato, and spinach or arugula if desired.
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly like a burrito.
- Grill the Wraps:
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Slice the wraps in half and serve warm. Pair with a side of salad, soup, or chips for a complete meal.
Notes
- Add extra flavor with a pinch of dried herbs like dill or parsley.
- For a spicier kick, mix a dash of hot sauce or chili flakes into the tuna salad.
- Wraps can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Grill them just before serving.
