Description

Traeger Smoked Grape Jelly Meatballs are a sweet, smoky, and savory appetizer made by smoking tender meatballs and coating them in a delicious grape jelly and barbecue sauce glaze.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen or homemade meatballs
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Traeger grill to 225°F (107°C) using your choice of wood pellets (hickory or apple recommended).
  2. Place meatballs on a baking sheet or grill-safe pan and smoke for 1 hour.
  3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine grape jelly, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  4. After smoking, toss meatballs in the sauce mixture until fully coated.
  5. Increase grill temperature to 350°F (177°C).
  6. Return sauced meatballs to the grill and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and meatballs are heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use homemade meatballs for an even richer flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness or smokiness by using different barbecue sauces.
  • Perfect for parties, game days, or holiday gatherings.
  • Keep warm in a slow cooker on low setting for serving.
