Description

A warm and melty toasted Italian sandwich layered with deli meats, cheese, and classic toppings, all nestled in a crusty roll – a flavorful and satisfying lunch or dinner option.


Ingredients

  • 4 hoagie or sub rolls
  • 4 tbsp Italian dressing
  • 8 slices salami
  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced banana peppers (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice hoagie rolls and lightly toast them in the oven for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Brush the inside of each roll with Italian dressing.
  3. Layer salami, ham, and pepperoni evenly on the bottom halves of the rolls. Top with provolone cheese.
  4. Return to oven and toast for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the meats are warmed.
  5. Remove from oven and top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers if using.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Close the sandwiches, slice in half, and serve warm.
