Description

Tini’s Viral TikTok Mac and Cheese is a creamy, cheesy, one-pot dish that’s super easy to make and packed with flavor. Made with pantry staples, this mac and cheese is simple yet delicious, and has become a viral favorite for a reason!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups whole milk (or substitute with heavy cream for extra creaminess)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder (optional, for a hint of tang)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Macaroni:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the macaroni and milk over medium heat.
    • Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to prevent sticking, and cook until the pasta is tender and the milk is mostly absorbed (about 8-10 minutes). Do not drain.
  2. Add the Cheese and Butter:
    • Lower the heat to low and add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese to the pasta. Add the butter, garlic powder, and mustard powder, if using.
    • Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve:
    • Spoon the mac and cheese into bowls, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add an additional splash of milk or heavy cream at the end.
  • Feel free to mix up the cheese types, like adding Gruyère or gouda for more depth.
  • This mac and cheese is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated with a little extra milk to keep it creamy.
