- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Beef Mixture:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and simmer for 2 minutes.
Assemble the Casserole:
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and paprika over the tater tots.
Bake & Serve:
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
