- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican cheese blend)
- 1 small tomato, diced (optional, for garnish)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Shredded lettuce, for serving (optional)
- Sour cream, salsa, or guacamole (for dipping)
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
-
Cook the Beef:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned.
- Drain any excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
-
Assemble the Taco Ring:
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Arrange the triangles in a circular pattern on the baking sheet with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward, forming a sun-like shape.
- Spoon the seasoned beef evenly around the inner edge of the dough ring.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat.
- Fold the pointed ends of the triangles over the filling and tuck them under the dough to secure the ring.
-
Bake:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
-
Garnish and Serve:
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with diced tomatoes, olives, and green onions if desired.
- Serve with shredded lettuce, sour cream, salsa, or guacamole on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Swap ground beef for shredded chicken or black beans for a different filling.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for the best texture.
