Description

Taco pizza is a delicious fusion of two favorites — pizza and tacos — combining a crispy crust with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and fresh taco toppings for a fun, family-friendly meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 (13.8 oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Sour cream and taco sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
  4. Unroll pizza dough onto a greased baking sheet and press into a rectangle or fit into a round pizza pan. Bake for 7–8 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Remove from oven and spread a layer of refried beans over the crust.
  6. Top with seasoned beef and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
  7. Return to oven and bake for another 6–8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, olives, and green onions.
  9. Slice and serve warm with sour cream and taco sauce if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or black beans for a vegetarian version.
  • Use a pre-baked pizza crust for quicker assembly.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
