Scale
- 1 store-bought or homemade pound cake (about 16 oz), sliced in half horizontally
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips or melting chocolate
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 4–5 Twix bars, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Pound Cake
Slice the pound cake in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom half on a serving plate. - Add Caramel Layer
Spread a generous layer of caramel sauce over the bottom half of the pound cake. - Add Crushed Twix
Sprinkle half of the chopped Twix bars over the caramel layer, pressing them gently into the caramel so they stick. - Top with Second Layer
Place the top layer of the pound cake back on, sandwiching the caramel and Twix in the middle. - Prepare Chocolate Ganache
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. - Drizzle Chocolate and Add More Twix
Pour the melted chocolate ganache over the top of the pound cake, allowing it to drip down the sides. Sprinkle the remaining chopped Twix bars on top. - Chill (Optional)
For a firmer texture, place the cake in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes before slicing. - Serve
Slice and serve this candy-inspired treat with a drizzle of extra caramel sauce if desired!
Notes
- For extra caramel flavor, drizzle additional caramel over the top along with the chocolate.
- Use a serrated knife to cut clean slices without squishing the cake.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
