- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/4 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional, for added texture and nutrients)
Instructions
- In a jar or container, combine oats, milk, yogurt, honey (if using), vanilla extract, salt, and chia seeds (if using).
- Stir well to combine, then fold in chopped strawberries.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- In the morning, stir the oats. Add a splash of milk if needed to adjust consistency.
- Top with additional strawberries or your favorite toppings and enjoy cold.
Notes
- Use frozen strawberries if fresh aren’t available—thaw before using.
- Make it vegan by using plant-based milk and yogurt, and maple syrup as the sweetener.
- Overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
