- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, for macerating strawberries)
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the puff pastry into 9 equal rectangles. Place them on the baking sheet and prick each piece with a fork.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Optional: Toss sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
- Split each puff pastry rectangle horizontally into two layers using a serrated knife.
- Layer the bottom halves with whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Top with the remaining pastry halves.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- Assemble just before serving to maintain the crisp texture of the pastry.
- For a twist, add a layer of pastry cream or lemon curd under the whipped cream.
