Description

Strawberry Napoleons are an elegant dessert made with layers of flaky puff pastry, sweet vanilla cream, and fresh strawberries—perfect for impressing guests or indulging in a summery treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, for macerating strawberries)
  • Extra powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into 9 equal rectangles. Place them on the baking sheet and prick each piece with a fork.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Let cool completely.
  4. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  5. Optional: Toss sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
  6. Split each puff pastry rectangle horizontally into two layers using a serrated knife.
  7. Layer the bottom halves with whipped cream and sliced strawberries. Top with the remaining pastry halves.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
