This Stir Fry Sauce is a quick, flavorful blend of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and a touch of sweetness — perfect for adding bold, savory flavor to any stir fry.

- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water (for slurry)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, broth, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry.
- Heat the sauce mixture in a small saucepan over medium heat until just starting to simmer.
- Whisk in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens, about 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and use immediately in your stir fry or store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness with more or less honey or maple syrup.
- Add extra red pepper flakes or sriracha for more heat.
- Use with veggies, chicken, beef, tofu, or shrimp.
