Description

Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs are tender, juicy pork ribs coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, oven-baked or grilled to perfection for a flavorful and finger-licking dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 racks pork baby back ribs (about 4 lbs)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry.
  2. Rub ribs with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and chili powder if using.
  3. Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Optional: Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce to thicken slightly. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Remove ribs from the oven, unwrap, and brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
  7. Place under broiler or grill for 5–7 minutes, basting once more, until caramelized and sticky.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate ribs in the sauce overnight before baking.
  • You can finish the ribs on a grill instead of broiling for a smoky flavor.
  • Leftover sauce can be used for dipping or drizzling on rice or veggies.
