Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in red, white, and blue sprinkles.
- Place balls on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
