Description
A bold and flavorful Korean-inspired dish featuring tender chicken marinated in spicy gochujang sauce, then grilled or pan-seared to perfection.

- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
- Add chicken thighs to the bowl and coat evenly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely charred.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the chicken and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of gochujang based on your heat preference.
- This dish pairs well with steamed rice or noodles.
- You can also bake the chicken in a 400°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
