Scale
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- Extra Parmesan and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 6–8 minutes.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over spaghetti. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use a mixture of ground beef and pork for richer flavor.
- Bake meatballs instead of pan-frying for a lighter version.
- Double the meatballs and freeze extras for future meals.
