Description

Smoked Party Ribs are tender, flavorful ribs cooked low and slow, perfect for gatherings and BBQ parties.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 lbs pork ribs (St. Louis style or baby back)
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup BBQ dry rub
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the ribs with yellow mustard to act as a binder, then generously apply the BBQ dry rub all over.
  4. Place ribs in the smoker and cook for 2 hours, spritzing with apple juice every 30 minutes.
  5. After 2 hours, wrap ribs tightly in foil with brown sugar, honey, and butter. Cook for another 2 hours.
  6. Carefully unwrap ribs, brush with BBQ sauce, and return to the smoker for an additional 30 minutes to set the glaze.
  7. Remove ribs, let them rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use your favorite wood like hickory, applewood, or cherry for added flavor.
  • Adjust the BBQ rub and sauce based on your preferred sweetness or spiciness level.
  • Resting the ribs before slicing helps retain juices and flavor.
