- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 oz spaghetti or egg noodles
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and cover. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks, then return it to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and add them to the slow cooker. Toss everything to combine.
- Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked noodles if you want to add them directly to the slow cooker at the end.
- Vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas can be added for extra texture and nutrition.
