Description

These Slow Cooker Drumsticks are juicy, tender, and full of flavor with just a few simple ingredients. Whether you like them sweet, smoky, or spicy, they’re perfect for game day, weeknight dinners, or meal prep. Let the slow cooker do the work—then broil them for a crispy finish if you’d like!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken drumsticks (about 10-12 pieces)

  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (or use buffalo, teriyaki, or your favorite)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp honey (optional, for sweetness)

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Pat drumsticks dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.

  2. Place drumsticks in the slow cooker.

  3. In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce, olive oil, and honey (if using). Pour over the chicken and toss to coat.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender.

  5. For crispy skin: Preheat broiler, place cooked drumsticks on a baking sheet, brush with extra sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes until lightly charred.

  6. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Try different sauces: buffalo for heat, honey mustard for tang, or teriyaki for an Asian twist.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, rice, or roasted veggies.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
