- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
- Remove the chicken, shred it with two forks, then return it to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade barbecue sauce.
- This recipe works well with boneless chicken thighs too.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
