Description

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Breast is a simple, set-it-and-forget-it meal that delivers juicy, flavorful chicken with minimal effort. Just toss chicken breasts and barbecue sauce into the slow cooker, and let it do the work! Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, salads, or served with your favorite sides.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (optional, for tang)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce for depth of flavor

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce (if using).

  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, making sure it’s well coated.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  5. Shred chicken in the slow cooker using two forks and stir to coat with the sauce.

  6. Serve hot on buns, over rice, in tacos, or with veggies!

Notes

  • Great for meal prep—store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Use leftover chicken for BBQ pizza, baked potatoes, or quesadillas.

  • Want it spicy? Add a few dashes of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
