Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 36 mini pretzel twists (for 12 pops)
- 12 lollipop sticks or paper straws
- 12 green candy-coated chocolates (like M&Ms)
- 1 cup green candy melts (or white chocolate + green food coloring)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
- Green sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare Work Area: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Melt Candy Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. If needed, stir in coconut oil to thin the consistency.
- Assemble the Shamrocks:
- Arrange three mini pretzels in a shamrock shape on the parchment paper.
- Place a lollipop stick in the center, positioning it slightly under the pretzels.
- Add a green M&M at the center where the pretzels meet.
- Coat with Chocolate: Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle melted green candy over the pretzels to hold them together. Ensure all connection points are covered for a sturdy pop.
- Add Sprinkles (Optional): While the candy coating is still wet, sprinkle with green sugar or festive sprinkles for extra decoration.
- Let Set: Allow the pops to cool at room temperature for 20-30 minutes, or place them in the fridge for 10 minutes until firm.
- Enjoy! Once set, carefully lift the pops off the parchment and serve.
Notes
- No Lollipop Sticks? Use paper straws or skip the stick and make bite-sized shamrock pretzel clusters instead.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for extra freshness.
- Flavor Variation: Try using white chocolate with a dash of mint extract for a fun twist!
