Description

These Red, White, and Blue M&M Cookie Bars are thick, chewy, and loaded with festive chocolate candies. Made in one bowl with simple ingredients, they’re a quick and easy treat to whip up for any patriotic celebration. Perfect for feeding a crowd!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/4 cups red, white, and blue M&M’s

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup patriotic sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.

  • Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until just mixed.

  • Fold in 1 cup of the M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles (if using).

  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Press the remaining M&M’s on top for a festive look.

  • Bake for 22–26 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.

  • Cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For extra gooey bars, bake closer to 22 minutes.

  • Let cool fully before slicing to help bars hold their shape.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
