Description

Red Velvet Brownies are rich, fudgy treats with the classic flavor and vibrant color of red velvet cake, topped with or without cream cheese frosting. Perfect for holidays, parties, or any sweet craving.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or cream cheese frosting for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring, mixing until combined.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, vinegar, flour, and salt until just incorporated. Do not overmix. Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool completely in the pan before slicing. Frost with cream cheese frosting if desired.

Notes

  • For deeper chocolate flavor, add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder.
  • Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant red.
