Description

A festive autumn twist on the classic margarita, combining the warmth of pumpkin spice with the zing of lime and tequila for a cozy, flavorful cocktail.


Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 oz maple syrup (or simple syrup)
  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • Ice
  • Cinnamon sugar, for rim (optional)
  • Lime wedge or cinnamon stick, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim your glass with cinnamon sugar: rub the rim with a lime wedge and dip it into the sugar mixture.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with ice (preferably a rocks glass).
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge or cinnamon stick and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Chill the pumpkin puree beforehand for a colder drink.
  • For a smoother texture, strain the pumpkin mixture before serving.
