Scale
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies), finely crushed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
- Optional: orange food coloring for the coating
- Garnish: crushed Oreos, sprinkles, or a drizzle of melted chocolate
Instructions
1. Make the Pumpkin Oreo Mixture:
- In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Reserve 2 tablespoons of crumbs for garnish, if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, cream cheese, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice. Mix until fully combined and smooth.
2. Form the Balls:
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the balls for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
3. Prepare the Coating:
- Melt the white chocolate or candy melts according to package instructions. If using food coloring, stir in a few drops of orange until the desired color is achieved.
4. Coat the Balls:
- Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each frozen ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Place the coated balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with reserved Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, or a drizzle of melted chocolate for decoration while the coating is still wet.
5. Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 30 minutes, or until the coating is fully set.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- Storage: Store Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
