Description

These Protein Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, no-bake snack with a boost of protein! Perfect for post-workout fuel or a healthier dessert, they’re chewy, sweet, and ready in minutes. Made with simple ingredients like crispy rice cereal, protein powder, and nut butter, these bars are both satisfying and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal

  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter

  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Optional: 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, stir together the peanut butter and honey until smooth and warmed through.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

  4. Add the protein powder and mix until fully combined.

  5. Gently fold in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.

  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Press down firmly using a spatula or your hands to create an even layer.

  7. If using chocolate chips, sprinkle on top and press them in slightly.

  8. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before slicing into bars.

  9. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • For vegan treats, use a plant-based protein powder and maple syrup instead of honey.

  • Add a scoop of collagen peptides for extra protein without changing the flavor.

  • Feel free to mix in nuts, seeds, or dried fruit for more texture.
