Prosciutto and Brie Upside-Down Pastries are elegant, savory bites made with flaky puff pastry, creamy brie, and salty prosciutto, perfect as an appetizer or for brunch.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 4 slices prosciutto
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal squares.
- Drizzle a little honey on the parchment where each pastry will go, then place a piece of prosciutto and a slice of brie on top. Sprinkle with thyme if using.
- Place a puff pastry square over each stack and tuck the edges slightly underneath to encase the filling.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then carefully flip the pastries upside down and serve warm.
Notes
- You can add a small spoonful of fig jam or caramelized onions under the brie for extra flavor.
- Best served warm, but can be reheated in the oven.
- Cut puff pastry into smaller squares for bite-sized appetizers.
