- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- Dissolve the Jell-O: In a large bowl, add cherry Jell-O and pour in boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then mix in cold water.
- Chill until slightly thickened: Refrigerate the Jell-O for about 30–45 minutes, until it starts to thicken but is not fully set.
- Fold in whipped topping: Once the Jell-O is thickened, gently fold in the Cool Whip until smooth and fluffy.
- Add mix-ins: Stir in mini marshmallows, crushed pineapple, chopped maraschino cherries, and coconut (if using).
- Chill & serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to blend. Serve chilled and enjoy!
