Description

Pimento Cheese is a classic Southern spread made with shredded cheese, mayonnaise, and diced pimentos. It’s creamy, tangy, and perfect as a dip, sandwich filling, or burger topping.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 jar (4 oz) diced pimentos, drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and drained pimentos.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
  3. Stir until fully mixed and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
  5. Serve as a dip, sandwich spread, or burger topping.

Notes

  • Use extra-sharp cheddar for a bolder flavor.
  • For a smoother texture, mix with a hand mixer or food processor.
  • Add diced jalapeños or cream cheese for variation.
